Ripple values your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy describes what information we collect from you, how we collect it, how we use it, how we obtain your consent, how long we keep it in our databases and, if necessary, with whom we share it.

By using the platform, you agree to the practices described in this privacy policy. Use of the platform is also subject to our terms and conditions. In this privacy policy, the words "platform" refer to the Ripple mobile application and the Ripple website as a whole, "we," "us," "our," and "Ripple" refer to Ripple, and "you" and "user" refer to you, the user of Ripple.

This privacy policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the platform after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. This privacy policy has been developed and is maintained in accordance with all applicable national and international privacy and data protection laws and regulations.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

2. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT

Consent is given when you perform, among other things, the following activities, which are expressly considered to be unequivocal statements of acceptance of the processing of personal data and the use of the application's features:

• When you visit, browse, or interact with the Ripple website.
• When you download and install the application on your device.
• When you register as a user, creating an account and providing data such as your name, email address, username, profile picture, and, optionally, social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• When you use the app's features, including participating in daily kindness challenges, earning points, unlocking badges, creating communities, and interacting with the leaderboard.
• When you share photos, videos, descriptions, or any other type of content related to your kindness challenges.
• When you scan QR codes to confirm acts of kindness, expressly authorizing the collection of minimal associated metadata (date, time, and confirmation), without tracking the identity or location of the recipients, unless they decide to participate voluntarily.
• When you use the functionality to share your impact and challenges through social media, instant messaging, or other digital media.
• When you interact with other users, challenge them to perform acts of kindness, or participate in communities created within the platform.
• When you complete forms available on the website or in the app, whether for registration, sending information, or support.
• When you communicate with us through the available contact channels, including email, support forms, or other enabled means.
• When you update, modify, or delete data from your profile or any content posted on the platform.
• When you agree to receive push notifications, in-app messages, or emails related to the operation, improvements, or new features of Ripple.

By participating in any of the above activities, you acknowledge and agree that your consent constitutes the primary legal basis for the processing of your personal data in accordance with applicable international regulations, including, but not limited to, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union and current data protection regulations in the United States, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You understand that this consent may be withdrawn at any time, without retroactive effect, through the settings available in your user profile or by contacting our support team.

You also acknowledge that, if you withdraw your consent, certain features of the application may be limited or inaccessible, without giving rise to any right to claim.

3. TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED

Ripple collects and processes various types of personal and usage data that users provide directly or that is automatically generated when interacting with the platform, website, and mobile application. This data is collected at the time the user performs the activities mentioned above, such as registering, participating in challenges, sharing content, or using the application's features. The types of data that Ripple may collect include, but are not limited to, the following:

3.1. Personal Identifying Data

This includes basic information that you provide when you register or interact with Ripple:

• First and last name.
• Username.
• Email address.

3.2. Registration and Login Data

Collected when the user creates an account or accesses the app:

• Login credentials, such as email and password.
• Third-party authentication information, if logging in through linked accounts (e.g., Google, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

3.3. Profile Data

Information that users choose to include in their profile within Ripple:

• Profile picture or photo.
• Optional biography or descriptions.
• Links to social media accounts.

3.4. User Content

Data related to interactions and contributions within the platform:

• Photos, videos, texts, or descriptions shared when completing kindness challenges.

3.5. Data Collected Automatically

Information that is collected automatically when using the application, website, or Ripple features:

• IP address.
• Device type and version.
• Operating system and browser used.
• Regional settings and language.
• Unique device identifiers.
• Technical errors, crash logs, and performance data.

3.6. Data Related to Challenges and QR Codes

When participating in kindness challenges that require QR code scanning, we collect:

• Confirmation of challenge completion.
• Date and time of scan.
• Basic information associated with the specific challenge. The identity or location of recipients is not collected unless they choose to provide it voluntarily.

3.7. Usage Data

Information derived from how the user interacts with Ripple:

• Challenges completed, points earned, and badges unlocked.
• Participation in communities, leaderboards, and group activities.
• Frequency and duration of sessions in the app.

3.8. Analytics and Tracking Data

Data collected through analytics technologies to improve the user experience:

• Behavior metrics and usage trends.
• Data about interactions with platform features.
• Information about challenge performance and shared content.

3.9. Contact and Communications Data

This includes information provided when the user communicates with Ripple or uses support channels:

• Name, email address, and any other information included in the message.

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

Personal data provided by users through the platform will be retained for the time necessary to fulfill the legitimate purposes described in section 5 of this policy and/or until the user stops using the platform, closes the user account, uninstalls the app or requests the deletion of their data. Ripple may retain personal data for a longer period provided that the user has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, Ripple may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period if required to do so in order to comply with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right of deletion, the right of rectification and the right of data portability cannot be asserted after the retention period has expired.

5. PURPOSES OF DATA COLLECTION

Ripple collects and processes user information in order to provide, optimize, and personalize the services offered through the application, as well as to ensure a secure, effective, and personalized experience. The legitimate purposes for processing the data collected, depending on the type of information, are as follows:

5.1. Personal Identification Data

• To enable the creation, management, and maintenance of the user account.
• To uniquely identify the user within the platform.
• To send notifications related to the account, changes to services, and important updates.
• To facilitate direct communication between Ripple and the user to resolve questions, queries, or incidents.

• To facilitate login through quick and simplified options, including authentication with social media or third-party platforms.
• To maintain session integrity and prevent unauthorized access.

5.3. Profile Data

• To personalize the user experience within the application.
• To display the user's identity and preferences in interactions with other members, communities, and leaderboards.
• To allow users to voluntarily share information about themselves with other members of the platform.

5.4. User Content

• Enable active participation in daily challenges and other interactive features of the application.
• Show the impact of acts of kindness and share them with the community and other users.
• Facilitate the publication of content and its voluntary dissemination on social media or other external channels.
• Generate a fun and motivating user experience through rewards, points, and badges.

5.5. Data Automatically Collected by the Application

• Ensure the proper technical functioning of the application and website.
• Diagnose errors, prevent failures, and optimize the performance of the service.
• Adapt the experience to the technical characteristics of the user's device.
• Detect and prevent fraudulent behavior, misuse, or unauthorized access.

5.6. Data Related to Challenges and QR Codes

• Verify the correct completion of the kindness challenges.
• Ensure the validity of the activities recorded and prevent fraud in the allocation of points or rewards.
• Improve user experience management and provide statistics on challenge participation.

5.7. Usage Data

• Evaluate user progress and update their achievements within the application.
• Improve the gamification experience through leaderboards and reward levels.
• Identify usage trends and behaviors to tailor future features and activities.

5.8. Analytics and Tracking Data

• Analyze app and website usage to optimize design, functionality, and usability.
• Measure the effectiveness of internal campaigns and participation in challenges.
• Develop improvements based on aggregated, non-individually identifiable metrics.

5.9. Contact and Communications Data

• Respond to inquiries, support requests, and complaints.
• Keep users informed about new features, updates, or improvements to services.
• Efficiently manage interactions and support history.

6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

The personal information of our customers and users is an important and fundamental part of our platform. Under no circumstances will we sell or share information with third parties that has not been previously authorized by the user or owner of the personal data. We share user information only and exclusively as described below.

6.1. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party services to perform certain functions on our platform. Some of these functions and services include: hosting the app in app stores (App Store), hosting the website, data storage services, sending emails, and performing tracking and analytics functions on the platform.

These third-party services and tools may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use that information for other purposes. Information shared with these third-party services will be treated and stored in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our privacy policy.

6.2. Newsletter and email marketing

By providing us with your email address, you consent and agree that we may send you marketing content and newsletters, notifications and information related to our platform. Therefore, your email address may be shared with third party bulk email services for the sole and exclusive purpose of sending you relevant communications. If you wish to stop receiving communications from Ripple, you can unsubscribe at any time by using the "unsubscribe" option available in the same emails or by sending your request through our contact information.

6.3. Business Transfers

In the event that Ripple creates, merges with, or is acquired by another entity, your information will most likely be transferred. Ripple will email you or place a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.

6.4. Protection of Ripple and others

We release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our Terms and conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Ripple, our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

6.5. With Your Consent

Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when personally identifiable information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

7. PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

We grant access to your personal information only to those outside persons or services that have a legitimate need to know it and in accordance with our privacy policy. We adhere to industry-recognized security standards to protect your personal information, both during transmission and in storage. However, it is important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is foolproof and 100% secure. Therefore, while we at Ripple strive to implement commercially viable data protection methods, we cannot ensure absolute security of your personal information. We undertake not to sell, distribute or transfer your personal data to unauthorized third parties, unless we have your explicit consent or are required by law to do so.

8. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATIONS

In the event of a security breach that compromises the confidentiality of our users' personal data, Ripple undertakes to notify those affected in a timely manner. This notification will be made through the means of contact that have been provided by the user on our platform. We will take all reasonable measures to protect the information and remedy any situation that jeopardizes the security of your data.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

Ripple may transfer users' personal data outside of the United States due to the use of hosting, storage and processing services provided by third parties that operate servers located in different countries. These transfers are necessary to ensure the continued operation of the platform and to provide an efficient user experience. Although Ripple is based in the United States, the technology infrastructure used may involve data being stored or processed in jurisdictions with data protection laws other than the United States.

Ripple is committed to ensuring that all international transfers of personal data comply with applicable data protection regulations, including appropriate security measures to safeguard user information. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing standard contractual clauses, assessing the adequacy of data protection in the receiving country, and complying with applicable privacy standards on third party services.

By using Ripple, users consent to the transfer, storage and processing of their data on servers located outside their country of residence, acknowledging that such transfers are necessary for the operation of the platform. Ripple undertakes to take all reasonable steps to protect the integrity and security of personal data during such international transfers.

10. PRIVACY RIGHTS

Ripple users, regardless of their place of residence, have a number of rights in relation to their personal data, recognized by various international data protection regulations, including, but not limited to, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and other similar privacy laws in force in the United States and other jurisdictions. These rights are intended to ensure transparency, individual control, and effective protection of users' personal information. In accordance with the above, users may exercise the following rights:

Ripple will respond to requests to exercise rights in a timely manner and in accordance with the deadlines established by applicable regulations. The exercise of these rights is free of charge, except in cases where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case a reasonable fee may be charged or the request may be denied. To exercise any of the above rights, users may contact us through the channels provided in this privacy policy.

11. CHILDREN'S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION

We comply with the requirements of national and international data protection regulations regarding the protection of personal data of minors. We do not collect any information from children under the age of 13 (minimum age allowed to collect and process information without parental or legal guardian consent). If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Except as otherwise expressly included in this privacy policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information that Ripple collects from you. If you disclose your information to third parties, whether other users or third parties, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. Ripple does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable. Ripple is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of other websites, platforms or services, including those linked from our platform. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party websites, platforms or services you access through the Ripple platform.

13. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. Changes will be promptly notified to our users through any electronic means and posted on the platform. Your continued use of our platform following such changes will signify your acceptance of the changes.
